| The Family |
The family consists of Jan and Tossie (Mom and Dad) and three married daughters, Solms and Alitha (Cape Town), Sheldon and Pinnie (Cape town) and Tom and Anna-Marie (Devon, England). As a family we have visited more than 50 countries and have traveled Africa (mainly southern and central Africa) on numerous occasions since the 70’s. We have personally been to most national parks, wilderness areas, several private game reserves, did many hikes and ran several rivers. (For afull account of the Family Adventures read "Travel Stories").These travels always contained surprises. Several good, but unfortunately some not really what you expected and if you are not prepared for such unexpected experiences as regards accommodation, environmental conditions, road conditions, tour operators, etc it can result in that your “exciting” African safari turnes out to be rather unpleasant. The whole purpose of this blogspot is therefore to give you advice by sharing our experiences with you in order to make your African experience a dream come true.
